Prior to starting his PhD at CMU and FEUP, Alex Gaudio was a Data Scientist and an Engineer in New York City for 7 years, where he co-founded the non-profit, NYC Makerspace and also worked at various startups. Alex completed his Bachelor’s degree in Music at Bard College. His current research is on Machine Learning applied to Diabetic Retinopathy Detection.
